1. Confirm eligibility and business details
Start with valid Udyam registration and accurate information about the manufacturing unit. Review the current official scheme and portal requirements before paying or submitting information.
2. Select the appropriate certification level
Your target should reflect present maturity and business goals. Higher levels generally require broader controls and stronger implementation evidence.
3. Complete the required application steps
Register through the authorized ZED system, complete the required pledge or application steps and provide requested organizational information.
4. Conduct a readiness assessment
Compare current practices with the applicable parameters. Record each gap, responsible owner, required evidence and completion date.
5. Implement controls and maintain evidence
Create only documents that support real work. Train relevant employees, maintain records and verify that the process is consistently followed.
6. Prepare for assessment
Review completed actions, confirm records are current and ensure responsible team members can explain their processes. Correct obvious inconsistencies before assessment.
7. Assessment and certification decision
The authorized system or assessment body evaluates the application and evidence. Any findings should be addressed through genuine corrective action.
Always rely on the current official ZED portal for scheme rules, fees, subsidies and application status. Consulting support does not replace official assessment.
